Mr. Bijoy's 2012 Holiday Gift Guide: Ultimate Gear

So here's the thing - Sometimes it's difficult getting gifts for a guy who has a tendency to just buy the things that he wants. Therefore, I thought I'd compile this "Ultimate Gear" edition of the gift guide for those who have this dilemma. Also, this stuff is pretty damn cool. Sound good? Ok.
  • Everyone knows that person who loves being the guy with a bottle-opener on hand at all times. The problem at hand is that a key-chain bottle-opener or a large bartender tool isn't all that much fun. To add, I don't want my keys being passed around to open up everyone's beer. So, for a soltion, check this out- Titanium Sunglasses. Classic style, awesome functionality. Just don't let them wear these inside at night. That's stupid.
  • Ok, carrying around a camera everywhere is a pain in the ass. To add, it seems like phone-based cameras are taking off, both in functionality and convenience. However, sometimes, the quality is just appalling. So, some folks out there came up with a functional, cool lens system for the iPhone. The olloclip may be something that is just what you need. Probably not, but maybe.
  • I'll never really quite understand winter sports, but I sure as hell would love to try bobsledding. That has little to do with this, sorry.  Know someone who just loves skiing? Enough to buy skiing art? Here's the coolest skiing art I've found. And it's not ugly.
  • So you have that person on your list that just loves microbrew, local breweries, and beer, in general. Here's something that should have been created years ago to solve the issue of taking home a growler from the brewery. Seriously, this is nothing short of common-sense, turned into genius commerce.
  • Buying tools for someone that loves tools isn't exactly the easiest thing to do. Buying upgrades can get pricey and finding new, innovative tools can lead to new, ineffective, low-quality gear. However, if tools are your thing, check out this new wrench from Craftsman. It's cool and has great reviews from a number of industry folks.
  • A dock for you iPhone, especially one with speakers, too often looks like just that, a clunky dock. Sure, Bose and other such companies have tried to streamline things, but nothing looks cool. Well, until now. Check out his vacuum-tube powered, limited-production, audiophile-pleasing, beautiful dock. Seriously, the coolest dock out there, that's probably, actually, worth what it costs.
  • Mac keyboards look kinda boring. Also, that plastic can get really dingy. Want a really friggin' cool solution? Check this out. Seriously, one of the simplest, coolest modifications for your keyboard. Ever.
  • A prop replica hoverboard inspired by Back To The Future. Do I really need to elaborate?
  • Let's talk fitness. Specifically, let's talk about kettlebells. Kettlebells aren't cheap. More and more people are using kettlebells for workouts. So, an effective, yet expensive addition to the home-gym isn't always feasible. But now, you can buy this. It's adjustable and looks cooler than a rack of kettlebells.
  •  On the subject of fitness, I've been polling people from all over about lightweight running shoes. Especially lightweight trainers. The consensus seems to be, buy these. I'm no professional here and you should make sure that your feet and style fit for this shoe. I seriously don't want you getting hurt just because you think this shoe is cool.
  • Guiness marshmallows. Buy them here. Do I need to continue? Nope, I think that's a good point to end this list.
So that's it. Stay tuned for the next gift-guide coming soon!
